“Technique is everywhere these days—just scroll through social media, and you’ll find world-class jiu- jitsu instructors sharing their championship moves for free. But here’s the truth: very few people can actually apply what they see. That’s where Ben Gumpert stands apart. His approach to jiu-jitsu goes far beyond rehearsed techniques or choreographed sequences. Ben dives deep into the principles that truly define the art, breaking down its complexity in a way that’s both inspiring and accessible. Having trained in jiu-jitsu for over seven years, I’ve encountered countless instructors and practitioners, but there are very few I trust to innovate and push the boundaries of the sport. Ben is at the very top of that list. His understanding, teaching, and ability to communicate the essence of jiu-jitsu are second to none."

“I grew up training with Sensei Austin since I was little and he has had a huge impact on my career in MMA today! I have a second degree black belt in Japanese Jujutsu and Judo, and a blue belt in BJJ. So far I am an undefeated 2-0 amateur in MMA and it's so exciting to see everyone else Austin's been able to help train and influence throughout the years. He knows his stuff!”

"I, along with my wife and young daughter and son, have been members of Reflection Jiujitsu since it opened. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and are invested in our progress. The atmosphere is welcoming and has always felt like a safe space for my family to train and grow together. It has truly been a place of “community” for us and has become an integral part of our journey. Thanks so much to Ben and Austin for all they do!"

"When people look at a black belt, they look at an individual who has attained a rank in what many would consider the most difficult of art forms. One area that is often overlooked when we view the belt system, is the individual’s ability to teach and instruct students, and I believe this is where many fall short on their path to receiving a black belt and achieving the title of “Professor”. Over the course of my time spent on the mats training there have only been a handful of instructors that have stood out above the rest, and one of these people, would be a good friend of mine, Benjamin Gumpert. He is a person who is driven by knowledge and the process of constantly learning, with the ability to explain the how’s and why’s of everything that he teaches on the mats. He is dedicated to building a community and putting the needs and well-being of his students before his own."
